The honours were shared this morning in Rathin, after a hard fought tight game. Both teams played good football and tried their hardest to break the deadlock but the defences held tight.
We had a good start to the game controlling play well and had a couple of half chances. Temple Villa then grew into the game and had the better of the end of the second half. Temple Villa had a great chance to take the lead when their striker rounded the goalkeeper and shot only for Daire Hynes to clear the ball off the line.
The second half was even neither team gave much away, Mullingar Celtic couldve won it at the very end when Keith Hope put Mark Hickey through on goal but the Temple Villa keeper made a excellent save to keep it at 0-0.
Our Clarkes Bar man of thr match was Gearóid Sheridan who played a stormer at right back, Stephen Nally has to get a mention too as he had a great game in the centre of our midfield.
