Great performance by our men this morning up in Raithin. We came flying out the blocks scoring through Mark Hickey in the first 5 minutes after a great through ball by Keith Hope. Daire Hynes added the second about 20 minutes later converting from a brilliant run from left back and slotting it cooly into the bottom corner.
The second half started much like the first, we came flying out the blocks again when Keith Hope scored a great header from a Mark Hickey cross. We added a fourth not long after after some excellent intricate play play in midfield resulted in Ian Keelan pulling a ball back to Mark Hickey who finished well.
Not long after we made a host of changes but still managed to stay on top. Dean Scully came off the bench and scored a great goal sitting down two defenders and finding the bottom corner. Johnny Mee added a sixth slotting some a rebound from a Jamie Tarleton shot. Ryan Dempsey put the cherry on the cake finding the bottom corner from outside the box.
This was a great win against a team who are a division above us. Next up is a Mullingar derby out in Gainstown next Friday night. As always thanks for all support!
