We came out the wrong side of a good combative game out in Street this evening. We started the better of the two teams and played some excellent football at times in the first half but just couldn’t find the back of the net. Inny came into their own in the later parts of the first half and played some excellent football themselves which resulted in one of their players getting a looping cross away which caught the wind and found its way over our keeper and into the back of the net.
Inny started the second half strongly and doubled their lead not long after the break. We then started to play some football again and pulled back a goal through Joe Doyle who slotted home from short range. We then won a penalty when Rory Daly was taken down in the box but unfortunately Ian Keelo hit the post from the spot. We then went on to make a few more good chances but Innys goalkeeper and defence were in fine form and kept us out.
All in all it was a good run out on a miserable night and we would like to wish Inny the best of luck in the upcoming season.
