A very good Peters team came out on top against our men this morning in a game that was tighter than the scoreline might suggest.
Mullingar Celtic took the lead in the 30th minute thanks to some brilliant work from Ian Keelan who picked Fola out with a great ball which Fola headed home.
We defended well and took the lead into the half time. To St Peters credit they made a couple of changes and half time that worked out straight away when they equalised right at the restart.
We nearly took the lead again when Dean Scully smashed a great freekick off the crossbar. Peters took the lead not long after thanks to a penalty. From there they let their experience show and added 2 more to kill the game off.
