It was a much improved performance from our Saturday team under the lights in Gainstown this weekend and in truth we may have deserved a bit more our of the game, but credit to Ballyboro who took their chances and played well themselves.
The Sunday team opened their league campaign today with a very convincing 6-0 win over St Carthages. In blustery conditions, we set on the attack early and it pays dividends. A great goal by Dean Scully set the tone and was quickly followed up with another by the always lively Cillian Fagan. Ciaran Shanley topped off the fine first half display with another tidy finish! We found ourselves up against it in the second half but our defence held strong. Ryan Dempsey opened the scoring in the second half with some impressive footwork while Andy Donoghue topped off the fine performance with two superb finishes.
Another great team display however, our man of the match goes to the industrious Sean Reid who put in a brilliant performance in the middle of the park.
