It was a tough weekend for the Celts this weekend coming out the wrong end of two very competitive games.
The weekend started off with our first of three league games against our neighbours Mullingar Town. We had some excellent chances during the game and played some excellent resilient football at times but just couldnt get the all important goal. Town played some great football themselves and forced man of the match Christy Keena into making a string of great saves.
Again we were on the wrong side of the result against this morning in some treacherous conditions against a good Gallen side who took their chances. There was alot if positives to be taken, we played some good football and had opertunities to put the game to bed at 1-1 but couldn’t get the ball in the net and ended up rueing those missed opertunities when Gallen scored a winner in the last minute.
